Sciala b&b is located in the historical centre of Ortigia at a major crossroads just a few steps away from Piazza Duomo. Two of our rooms overlook via Roma, a narrow pedestrianised cobbled street which follows the route of the ancient Via Sacra (Hierá Hodós), linking the ancient Greek temples of Apollo and Athena. We are very close to Piazza Archimede, at the centre of which is the Fountain of Diana, goddess of hunting, calm and proud. The other room overlooks Via ConsiglioReginale, where we can find the medieval Palace known as the “Queen’s Council Chamber”, which was presided by the Queen, wife of the ruler of Aragon (1300 A.D.).
